Counter Terror Expo US to Feature Highest Caliber of Speakers and Conference Program Addressing  Critical Issues Facing the Counterterror Community
Three keynote sessions and six educational tracks featuring 60+ speakers offer attendees depth and breadth of knowledge and insight
ARLINGTON, VA – May 2, 2012 – Counter Terror Expo US , being held May 16-17, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, will feature some of the nation’s foremost experts in counterterrorism including Kenneth Buell, Office of Infrastructure Protection's Policy Development & Coordination Unit, DHS Infrastructure Protection Directorate; Chris McLaughlin, Assistant Administrator, Office of Security Operations, Transportation Security Administration (TSA); Kevin McAleenan, Acting Assistant Commissioner, Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations; Michael Johnson, Special Agent, ICE-Homeland Security Investigations, National Program Manager, Border Enforcement Security Task Force teams; Honorable Jayson P. The event’s keynote lineup includes two distinguished and respected counterterror experts and a panel featuring some of the U.S.’s leading members of the media who spend their days reporting on the critical news impacting the community:

Wednesday: Michael Leiter, former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), the U.S. government agency responsible for the analysis and integration of all terrorism intelligence as well as strategic operational planning for counterterrorism activities

Wednesday: “Media Perspectives on Covering Global Counterterrorism,” featuring a panel of elite counterterrorism journalists from AP, FOX News and The New York Times to discuss the challenges that they face in covering global counterterrorism issues.

Thursday: Thad Allen, Former US Coast Guard Commandant; Senior Vice President, Booz Allen will discuss “Where Counterterrorism and Disaster Response Meet.
