The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. James L. Adair, 26, of Carthage, Texas, died June 29 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.
