The following is the text of a commendation from Brigadier General Kevin G. Ellsworth regarding the contribution of the California State Military Reserve toward the Global War on Terror:
"On behalf of the Adjutant General and the entire California National Guard, I wish to express my sincere thanks to the State Military Reserve for their outstanding support to the Soldier Readiness Program (SRP). Your soldiers and airmen have supported the mobilization process from the outset enabling California Army National Guard units to set the standard for readiness in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
The professionalism of the State Military Reserve greatly contributed to the success of the SRPs time and time again. It is now more than ever that the words “Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer,” ring true."
