The
Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting
Operation Enduring Freedom.
Staff
Sgt. Sonny C. Zimmerman, 25, of Waynesfield, Ohio, died July 16, in Mushaka,
Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle was attacked by a rocket
propelled grenade. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry
Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, Fort Campbell, Ky.
