The Department of Defense announced today the death a Marine
who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Matthew R. Rodriguez, 19, of Fairhaven, Mass.,
died Dec. 11, while conducting combat operations in Helmand Province,
Afghanistan.
He was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine
Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
