The Department of Defense announced today the death of a
soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Christian J. Chandler, 20, of Trenton, Texas, died
April 28 in Baraki Barak District, Logar province, Afghanistan, when enemy
forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry
Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light), Fort Drum,
New York.
