First Responders Group Newsletter

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate's First Responders Group (FRG) seeks to strengthen the first response community's ability to protect the country and respond to disasters. FRG pursues a better understanding of the response community's needs and requirements, provides technical assistance and develops innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges faced during day-to-day and large-scale emergencies. The most recent issue of the First Responder Group newsletter, The Siren, features recent FRG highlights and accomplishments. The issue includes an article about FRG's first accelerator program, EMERGE, which targets entrepreneurs with innovative wearable technology ideas that can be adapted for first responder use.
