The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier
who was supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel.
Spc. Miguel L. Holmes, 22, from Hinesville, Georgia, died
May 6, 2019, in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from a
non-combat incident. The incident is under investigation.
Holmes was assigned to 1st Battalion, 118th Field Artillery
Regiment, 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Savannah, Georgia.
