The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Ryan J. Hill, 20, of Keizer, Ore., died January 20 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee. Hill was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.
