Massacre at Tunisian Beach Possible Step toward Rome by ISIS

Analyst Author Issues Warning

DOD Analyst, military strategist and author John Sutherland said that the recent attack on the Tunisian beach vacationers is an indication that ISIS means to control the waterfront area in Tunisia.”  It is the logical and necessary move to launch an attack on the southern tip of Italy. The ISIS boast that it has Rome in its sights must be given serious consideration,” the strategist says. “It is no coincidence that the vacationers the Islamists murdered were Europeans. It was a boastful message. It is also no coincidence that that there are more Tunisians in ISIS than any other nationality.

Sutherland, an Operations Analyst for the Department of Defense, retired U.S. Army infantry officer who fought Islamists in Iraq and the author of the newly published iGuerilla:  Reshaping the Face of War in the 21st Century used his experience, advanced education, and knowledge of the Islamist mindset to write his book which is an in depth examination of the Islamists, their backgrounds, battle techniques, and goals. iGuerilla has been Likened by some to Thomas Paine’s Common Sense for the warning he presents and to Winston Churchill’s The Gathering Storm for his examination of the series of events that brought the world to its present state. The warrior side of John Sutherland presents itself too in his presentation of how to defeat the Islamists on both the strategic and tactical levels.

IGuerilla has been hailed by numerous early reviewers. Rick Baillegeon who holds the George S Patton Chair of Tactics at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College hailed it as  “a  superb book which fills a critical void in our understanding of conflict today and in the future. It fills many of the gaps readers have regarding the links between terrorism and technology. And Peter Schifferle PhD who teaches at the  U.S. Army  School of Advanced Military Studies said “This should be the first book packed in the duffel bag for those carrying the fight to the enemy.”

John Sutherland a retired Lt. Colonel with Airborne, Ranger and Pathfinder credentials holds advanced degrees in Military Arts and Sciences from the Command and General Staff College and Information Management at Webster University. He is also a graduate of Northern Arizona University. He resides with his family in the Washington DC area   His book iGuerilla: Reshaping the Face of War in the 21st Century was published by History Publishing Company on June 25, 2015 and is available at Barnes and Noble and better bookstores.
