July 14, 2010 - Iraqi security forces arrested four suspected criminal associates of al-Qaida in Iraq members during combined operations with U.S. advisors in the last two days.
In Baghdad today, Iraqi forces and U.S. advisors searched a building for a suspected leader of the terrorist group believed to be responsible for attacks on coalition forces and for financing the group's operations through robbery, kidnapping, extortion and exploiting contracts with Iraq's government.
Information and evidence gathered at the scene led Iraqi forces to identify and arrest a suspected criminal associate of the wanted man.
In Taji yesterday, Iraqi forces searching with U.S. advisors for a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq leader believed to responsible for recruiting teenagers and children to carry out suicide attacks against coalition forces arrested three suspected al-Qaida in Iraq criminal associates of the wanted man.
