The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Master Sgt. Gregory R. Trent, 38,
of Norton, Mass., died Aug. 8 in Bethesda, Md., from wounds suffered July 31 in
Baktabad, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with small-arms
fire. Trent was assigned to the 4th
Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.
