Army Casulty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Spc. Fernando D. Robinson, 21, of Hawthorne, Calif., died on Oct. 2 in Korengal, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his patrol came under attack by enemy forces using small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades. Robinson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.
