From an International Security Assistance Force Joint Command News Release
KABUL, Afghanistan, May 17, 2010 - The International Security Assistance Force is helping Afghan authorities in their search for a civilian passenger aircraft that was reported missing today.
According to news reports, 44 people were aboard the missing aircraft.
An ISAF fixed-wing aircraft has been dispatched to the last known position of the missing plane, officials said, but poor weather conditions in the area are hampering the aerial search.
Two ISAF helicopters are en route to the area. Other ISAF helicopters are on standby at Bagram Airfield and Kabul International Airport to assist in any rescue effort, officials said.
