The Department of Defense announced today the death of a
soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Capt. Jason B. Jones, 29, of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, died
June 2, in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, of wounds received from small-arms. The
incident is under investigation.
He was assigned 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group
(Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
