The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Spc. Darrion T. Hicks, 21, of
Raleigh, N.C., died July 19 in Ghazni, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained
from an enemy improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade,
21st Theater Sustainment Command, Bamberg, Germany.
