The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, 28, of
El Paso, Texas, died May 25 in Charkh, Logar province, Afghanistan, when enemy
forces attacked his unit with indirect fire.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 3rd
Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.
