The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Matthew J. Leach, 29,
of Ferndale, Mich., died June 26, in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1/334th Regiment, 1st
Brigade, 104th Training Division (Leader Training), Fraser, Mich.
