The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. Jose Rodriguez, 22, of
Gustine, Calif., died June 19, in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds
suffered from enemy, small arms fire. Rodriquez was assigned to the 4th
Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd
Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
