The Department of Defense announced
today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. Nicholas C. Fredsti, 30, of
San Diego, Calif., died June 15, in Spedar, Afghanistan, when insurgents
attacked his unit with small arms fire.
He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st
Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
